Brecon, or Aberhonddu as it is known in Welsh is an historic market town in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park. Ancient Britons, Romans and Normans have each left their mark on Brecon. Brecon boasts a cathedral, theatre, cinema, castle ruins, and a range of restaurants and shops.

Wales has 311 miles of traffic-free rides, perfect for families with children. For lovers of quiet lanes, Pencelli Castle Caravan & Camping Park is a base for any activity break or holiday. And if you want to cycle long distance, there’s that too.
